The Great Stables of the Château de Chantilly, built in the 18th century by Louis-Henri de Bourbon, Prince of Condé, are among the most majestic in the world. A masterpiece of classical architecture by Jean Aubert, they have housed the Living Museum of the Horse, dedicated to equestrian art, since 1982. This site has been owned by the Institut de France since 1886.

The Château de Thiers-sur-Thève, now in ruins, is a former 13th-century fortified castle listed as a Historic Monument in 1862. Built as a hunting lodge for the bishops of Beauvais, it is distinguished by its large state room pierced with large windows, a rare example of medieval residential architecture in the Île-de-France region. Partially dismantled in the 15th century, its circular towers, moats, and Gothic remains can still be admired.

What is to be remembered from this route is the passage through the Carnelle forest. However, there are too many roads on the Isle Adam and along the Oise. No particular difficulty.

Apart from the Halle, the loop is of no interest, the paths which run alongside the forest are narrow, difficult to walk at a good pace, between points 3 and 4 the path has disappeared, the crops are on the edge of hedges, passage in open ground, tiring.

40.2 km long, the river has its source in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin (Oise), and flows from east to west. It waters the town of Senlis, as well as the park of the Château de Chantilly where it is channeled, and flows into the Oise at Gouvieux, on the edge of Villers-sous-Saint-Leu, at an altitude of 30 m.
