In Valkenburg, you can take an electric train into the Gemeentegrot (Municipal Cave). In about 30-45 minutes, you'll ride past old wall paintings, artwork, and bits of history, including a Cold War shelter. It's always around 12 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket!
