This huge, green sculpture, "The Walking Man," was a special highlight for me.

Similar to the Börniger Plague Cross from 1637, which is almost within sight, a linden tree was planted next to the stone. According to the information plaque, this similarity is intentional.

Beautiful old noble residence directly on the Rhine Herne Canal not far from the bridge. It is worth taking the path behind the castle. From there you have a beautiful view of the inner courtyard.

Right at the entrance to the Teutoburgia Art Forest, the twelve-meter-high steel sculpture by the artist Monika Günther is striking. The figure with human features is called "Pedestrian" and shows people and their brash carelessness and broken relationship with nature. The steel body is covered with a trellis in the form of a wire mesh; over time, it is intended to transform into a quasi-organic figure made of ivy and wild vine.
