Large carpark with amazing views of the surrounding mountains but gets filled up quickly in the summer time.

Excellent views of the ridge to come from the base. This route up via Bell Rib is a steep Grade 1 scramble and care should be exercised especially in winter conditions.

Free car park at Wasdale Head. A great plce to start walks up towards Styhead, Mosedale or Scafell Pike.

Nice road with incredible views, although at times the road may be covered by small streams, go slower on those as they can be slippery

The vast expanse of the sandy Seascale beach stretches for miles, offering breathtaking vistas that extend across the sea to the Isle of Man and the Galloway mountains.

The little stone bridge in Greendale crosses the Greendale Gill above Wast Water. This is also the finish point for the Joss Naylor Challenge. This route starts at Pooley Bridge and runs 48 miles (77 km) across the fells to here.

A small area here with free parking and access to all the routes up to Scafell. I found the National Trust Car park was coin only in the parking machine and I had no change, so to find this was a godsend. Very close to the Wasdale Inn too post run/hike.

Standing on the banks of the river Irt with working waterwheel and millrace running through the heart of the building, the Sawmill cafe and farm shop is a great place to stop for mid-ride refreshments. Bike friendly outdoor seating. Open 6 days a week 9.30-4.30, closed Tuesdays.

Great place to start. When coming back down from Scafell pike along the main path follow the signs for Wasdale head not The National trust car park. I started the Scafell Pike hike up Moses trod and this wasn't obvious to me, I met a few others who had taken the wrong path too.

Good parking but can get very busy in the summer.

Great place to start your adventure. Get there early as gets full quick. This is FREE car park. Please remember to put some coins in the collection boxes.
