Stunning area to cycle in, can get very busy in high season though

It’s a hard ride up if you’re not used to it, but it’s worth it to THUNDER down the other side 👍🤣

A very well organised and set up campsite, which makes the perfect base for exploring the area. Lovely hot showers, a well stocked shop including local cold beers and a free phone charging service. We had a great stay

Well worth the detour down the track to the church of st Catherine's. Inside there's a font decorated with pagan marigold carvings, and the moving memorial at the door. Don't miss the stepping stones, cross if you dare

get here early during the busy season to insure you get a parking spot free parking

Beautiful hike via the waterfall, farmland and woodlands. The last part of the hike is uphill on winding roads. It's tiring but the views at the top are spectacular! Some parts of the hike were boggy but most of it was gravel paths.

April 2025 - The road has been mostly resurfaced, to an excellent, billiard table standard, from the Little Langdale junction to the cattle grid at the top, just before you descend to Wall End in Great Langdale. Enjoy it before it falls to pieces again!
