I accidentally took the turnoff to the rest area and let a small rain shower pass under the trees. From there you have a beautiful view of the lake.

The lake extends over an area of 176 hectares in the nature reserve from its northern bathing area in Klocksdorf to Dechow in the south. At the main entrance, the Klocksdorf fishery jetty, there is a parking lot with an observation tower. The boardwalk to the observation tower and the observation tower itself are great. Definitely worth going there and climbing up. It's just a shame that there is no seating at the top of the tower. But you can sit on the benches at the bottom of the tower and enjoy the great views. The natural lake is home to numerous species of birds in the reed beds and on the mostly inaccessible embankments. 20 m from the county road there is a very nice view over the lake. Not only in spring and autumn there are a lot of water birds, swans, grebes, ducks, wild geese and many other water birds can always be found here. Many other birds, including larger birds of prey, also nest in the trees on the bank. It's nice.
