Very beautiful church

The Plauerhagen church, built in 1784 to replace a previous, dilapidated church, is of simple beauty, yet it even has a bell tower! Today, the interior of the church is in immaculate condition. A winter chapel was built beneath the gallery, and the windows are stained glass. The most valuable piece of furniture is the baptismal font.

Kuppentin was first documented in 1235. The Protestant rectory served not only as the pastor's residence, but also as the home of the congregation. After the merger of the neighboring parishes, the rectory became the Rectory Museum, later the Museum of Village Churches. The church and cemetery, surrounded by a fieldstone wall, provide a dignified centerpiece for the village.
