Anyone traveling along the Havel Cycle Path will experience an incredibly beautiful stretch from here to Wesenberg. A narrow, paved path winds through the rolling landscape, passing through open spaces, forests, and lakes, always in solitude. A ride to dream about!

The brick building, built in a round-arch style with a recessed choir apse, has a square west tower. The west portal is topped with a wooden gable roof. A round stained-glass window is set in the east wall. Decorative friezes made of black glazed bricks serve as decoration. The apse has an extension with a door on the north side. The nave is divided by pilaster strips and has round-arched double windows. The interior features a wooden vault in the style of English cast-iron architecture. The altar has a triangular top with a crucifix. The new church, now the third church, was consecrated by Grand Duke Friedrich Wilhelm of Mecklenburg-Strelitz on Reformation Day in 1897. Lake Plätlinsee is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, southeast of Mirow and south of Neustrelitz in southern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The elongated lake is a maximum of 3.8 kilometers long and up to 700 meters wide. It is divided into a southern and a northern part by a narrow peninsula. The northern part is home to the approximately 19-hectare, largely forested island of Hühnenwerder. Large parts of the lakeshore are marshy and have a wide reed belt. The water surface lies entirely within the municipality of Wustrow, whose main town, Wustrow, is located on the southwest shore of the lake. There is also a portage point here for canoeists to Lake Klenzsee. Canoeists are only permitted to cross the lake within the marked area toward the Schwaanhavel River. To the south, Lake Plätlinsee has a small tributary (Reeksgraben) to the Großer Pälitzsee. To the north, the Schwaanhavel River leaves the lake. The northern part of the lake and large parts of the western shore, along with adjacent areas, lie within the 319-hectare North Shore Plätlinsee Nature Reserve. The name is derived from a Slavic personal name *Platla.
