Challenging cycle path through the forest.

The weather was great and so was the beach.

Cycle path Ückeritz, Wockninsee, Schmollensee The cycle path around Wockninsee begins in the Usedom amber bathing resort Ückeritz and leads to the Schmollensee, the second largest inland lake on the island of Usedom. Cyclists first head northeast and after just under two kilometers reach the small beach promenade of the amber bathing resort. The cycle path follows the promenade for a few hundred meters and then turns south to Neu-Pudagla in the hinterland of the island of Usedom. The Wockninsee is surrounded by a wide, mostly inaccessible shoreline, so that hardly anything of the shallow lake can be seen. Nevertheless, the Wockninsee nature reserve is an enchanting landscape that is worth exploring on Usedom. At Neu-Pudagla, the cycle path crosses the B111 federal highway and runs about a hundred meters westward parallel to the federal highway. Near the Usedom Forestry Office in Neu-Pudagla, the cycle path turns south and runs through a "reed meadow".
