Ahlbeck is the easternmost and largest of the three imperial seaside resorts on the island of Usedom and lies directly on the border with the Polish town of Świnoujście. The wind pumping station was used to drain the Thurbruch River from 1926 to 1968. Afterward, the drainage was replaced by electric pumps, and the structure was listed as a historical monument. In 1990, the pumping station was restored and remains fully functional today. A beautiful, quiet spot with a covered seating area where you can enjoy nature.
