Easy to ride trails. Very good for beginners and not so muddy in that area.

The highlight is not the tower but the mountain. The uphill is best when coming from the north or east. There are many beautiful single trails leading down here, sometimes steeper with a drop at the start, sometimes flowier, sometimes rootier. There's something for everyone, just give it a try.

The area around the lake is a popular recreational area. In the immediate vicinity there are paths used by walkers, athletes and cyclists, and sometimes also by forestry vehicles. A fitness trail that runs around the lake begins and ends at the Wellenweg car park in Damme. The long-distance hiking trails Ems-Hase-Hunte-Else-Weg (86 km long, from Lingen (Ems) to Bad Rothenfelde) and Pickerweg (118 km long, from Wildeshausen to Osnabrück) run along the shore of the Dammer Bergsee. "Am Hang" is a 782 m long, popular blue single trail near Damme. This trail can be used primarily downhill and has a 13 m long green climb for a light general physical challenge. On average, it takes 4 minutes to complete this trail.

This is where the Strothbäke springs. To the left and right of the spring pond there are stone walls that give this place an almost mystical feel. A small footbridge leads over the still small stream to the other side. Here, framed in the largest of the stone walls, there is a memorial plaque with the inscription "Liesken Roewell'n 1988".
