It is 33.8 m high above the valley floor and 43.5 m high above the foundation base. The top of the wall is at 355.8 m above sea level. The volume of the structure contains around 115,000 m³ of concrete. The wall consists of 16 segments, which are sealed on the water side by copper sheets embedded in the concrete. The joints are also sealed with tar and hemp. To relieve flooding, the wall is equipped with a free crown overflow that is 55.2 m long. The former castle stood on a narrow rocky ridge above the Bode and is now a popular viewing point.

A small challenge for mountain bikers - only uphill, of course ;-) But it is easy to ride, even when there are a lot of hikers, because the path is wide enough.
