This was actually my first time here and it is incredibly beautiful.

In June 1995, the Glasebach mine was opened as a mining museum. The association for the promotion and preservation of the Lower Harz mining museums was founded in January. The museum shows mining from the 17th to 19th centuries underground and the facilities from the GDR era above ground. The museum exhibits, among other things, the old wooden bottom outlet of the Lower Kilian Pond, which was recovered in 1990 during the renovation work after it had been subjected to long-term conservation by the Harz waterworks in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. A German door frame recovered from the fifth level is also on display. The canteen, the equipment of the mine rescue station, the station for charging the lamps and the emergency power supply using a ship's diesel engine have also been preserved. Remains of the historical waterworks have been preserved in the mine. Two preserved winch chambers are also noteworthy. Source: Wikipedia
