Around Lake Tollense

A visit to the village of Alt Rehse is worthwhile. There are many beautiful, well-kept houses and gardens.

The cycle path runs very close to the lake.

Historical place Learning place At first glance, the village of Alt Rehse, idyllically situated on Lake Tollense, is not that obvious. But behind this small place lies a dark history. In 1935, the Nazis opened a facility there that was unique in the entire German Reich: the "Führerschule der Deutschen Ärzteschaft". But that's not all. A National Socialist model village was built around the school, the construction of which was intended to represent a "nationalistic" ideal of a "German village community". Alt Rehse is a beautiful village located on the Tollensesee.

The stop is actually worth it. The church is said to be open almost all the time. The tower had sunk considerably. At the time, the whole village collected money for the reconstruction work.

Great circular route around the lake that can be ridden easily, without any problems and without any further difficulty. A great tour through a beautiful (lake) landscape, a very varied circuit variant.
