Located in the southern part of Lake Bärwalder, you can explore Saxony's largest lake by boat. The harbor, with its lighthouse, has a total of 180 moorings, 30 dry moorings, and a recreational area for water sports enthusiasts. A complete infrastructure and a bistro at the lighthouse will make your stay as pleasant as possible. Electricity is available directly at the dock. Your garbage will be properly disposed of. Restrooms are also available. Rowing, sailing, and motorboat rentals are also available. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Nochten Lusatian Boulder Park, between the northern town of Boxberg and the communities of Uhyst and Klitten to the south, Lake Bärwalder lies against the impressive backdrop of the Boxberg power plant. With a total area of approximately 13 km², a circumference of 20.6 km², and a water volume of approximately 174 million m³, Lake Bärwalder, up to 50 m deep, is the largest lake in the Free State of Saxony and the third largest lake in the Lusatian Lake District. A 7.30 m high lighthouse with a sector beacon and a yellow flashing light for wind warnings – incidentally the first lighthouse in the Lusatian Lake District – was built in 2011. The boat dock accommodates 92 boats of various sizes. The Mediterranean bistro at the lighthouse provides refreshments, and a rescue station ensures the safety of visitors. The beach bar at Boxberg Beach has a good selection of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. It is closed in winter, however. The beach area near the "Markise" is also beautifully decorated.

With this outlet structure and the bridge there, the circuit around the Bärwalder Lake has been shortened somewhat. Previously, this stream could only be crossed further north-west. A few meters behind the structure there is a nice rest area.
