A beautiful promenade where you can stroll along the Dieksee lake with magnificent views... numerous viewing platforms invite you to linger... several places to stop for refreshments with a view of the lake

I passed by there today, October 1, 2025, on my "Dieksee Fish Stall" tour. This beautiful area has been keeping me going for several days. I'm eking out a living at the Vital Klinik Buchenholm.

It's nice that nature can go its own way here!

Beautiful place for hiking

Ponds located in the Diekseeholm forest that were previously used for fish farming. This natural attraction in Malente was created in 1869 for the breeding of noble fish. The ponds are fed by fresh spring water from the "Diekseeholm" forest area. They are connected to each other by small streams and channels. The ponds got their name because the surrounding trees are reflected particularly beautifully in the calm, smooth water. In the immediate vicinity of the mirror ponds is one of Malente's Kneipp pools: a natural water treading area and an arm Kneipp pool.

Yesterday it was still standing in good condition. It will survive. What a story this tree has...
