Since 1997, the Rotterdam-based firm West 8, led by Adriaan de Geuze, has been working on the design for Máximapark. The Lily Pond Bridge is one of the park's jewels. The rectangular Lily Pond in the Binnenhof is a unique water feature in the park. You can cross the pond via an elegant bridge with the characteristic daisy motif in the railing. Next to the pond is a picnic area. On the other side is Taxodium Island, a leafy and flowery woodland area with natural inlets that is a haven for birds, dragonflies, newts, and frogs. The IJsselpoort gate is located on the north side of Montfoort's old town center, near the Hollandse IJssel River. It was originally part of the city walls, which also had gates on the west and east sides and a Waterpoort (Water Gate) as an entrance. In 1329, Montfoort was granted city rights. The then-viscount was so powerful that he could grant them on his own. This was unusual, as a bishop or count was usually involved. A city wall was built around Montfoort with three gates and a town hall. One of the gates has become part of the city's coat of arms. The Rozenbrug (Roses Bridge) in Woerden is a manually operated drawbridge dating from 1938 over the Oude Rijn (Old Rhine), built to replace a swing bridge from 1875. It is named after the De Roos inn and features a characteristic steel design in the "Amsterdam style." The bridge was recently restored, during which it was temporarily removed and returned via Bodegraven. It is both functionally and historically important to Woerden.

The Nieuwerbrug drawbridge, also known as the toll bridge, is the only remaining private toll bridge in Western Europe and is located in Nieuwerbrug.

The Oude Rijn Towpath is a historic path that winds along the Old Rhine, originally constructed in the 17th century to tow barges. These barges were unmanned boats pulled upstream by a rope, often attached to a horse or a person. The path ran from Leiden to Utrecht and was a vital link for the transport of goods and people.

The Towpath along the Hollandse IJssel is a walking and cycling path along the Hollandse IJssel River. The path follows the river and offers beautiful natural and water views, ideal for recreation and relaxation in the green landscape.

The "Phoenix" warehouse in Bodegraven is an industrial monument dating from around 1905, originally built as an oil mill and later used by the Andrélon shampoo factory. After closing in 2005, the building was transformed into a residential complex with 32 modern owner-occupied homes. The characteristic facade and chimney have been preserved and, together with its location on the Oude Rijn river, form a striking image in the village.
