Hidden among the rolling heathland and gently sloping sandy paths lies a simple yet characterful staircase that takes you to a different experience of the Veluwe heathland. It forms a subtle transition between high and low, open and sheltered, and invites you to pause, both literally and figuratively. All around, the heathland stretches out in shades of purple and green, interspersed with pine bushes and open sandy plains. The staircase enhances the sense of adventure: a slight elevation change that suddenly offers a new perspective on the landscape. From here, you look out over the soothing expanse of the heathland where the wind has free rein and the silence is broken only by the hum of insects and the soft call of birds. This place exudes simplicity and charm. Not a major attraction, but rather a detail that makes the walk special.
