The Hidden Valley Recreation Area is home to over 10 miles of singletrack mountain biking trails with another 7 miles of trails currently under construction. The trails are all well-marked and are open to skiing in the winter months.

The Split Rock Wilds Trail System is filled with miles and miles of mountain biking trails. There are trails of varying difficulties for everyone, and each trail has obstacles that are usually avoidable if you aren't up for the challenge. Make sure you pay attention to trail signs so that you don't end up on the Superior Hiking Trail (which is only open to foot-traffic).

The Gitchi-Gami State Trail is a planned 89-mile trail along Lake Superior's North Shore. Currently, 34 miles of the trail are completed. The trail is completely paved and car free, so it is a great way to explore the towns around Lake Superior.
