The split rock near Pikku-Malla is known as Rakokivi or the "Big Crack Boulder," a mystical 4-meter high stone with a significant crack in the middle.

The Three-Country Cairn is the tripoint at which the international borders of Sweden, Norway and Finland meet. Fun fact: it is the northernmost international tripoint in the world.

This small ferry serves the Golddaluokta (or Koltaluokta) bay on Lake Kilpisjärvi in Lapland. This boat operates during the summer months, providing transport between Golddaluokta and the village of Kilpisjärvi in Finland, and is a common way for visitors to access the Three-Country Cairn. Always check the schedule beforehand!

This hut on the way up Saana has a fireplace and offers decent shelter. It's a good spot to take stock before a run up to the summit.

An iconic and shapely peak that's held sacred by Sámi people, Saana rises on the border between Finland, Sweden and Norway. To celebrate a century of Finland's independence, the mountain was lit in blue light in Decemeber 2017, the largest such illumination in the world.
