This is where the trail to Glæret and Middagstinden begins. The route covers 370 metres over two kilometres to Glæret and 610 metres over three kilometres to Middagstinden.

The climb to Glæret and Middagstinden is steep and technical, requiring ropes. But whichever summit you climb, the view is well worth the effort.

Glæret is a peak 380 metres above sea level. At the top, you have a superb view of Gryllefjord and its fjord.

Kapevatnet is a peaceful lake located within the Anderdalen National Reserve, offering quiet waters and beautiful natural surroundings that perfectly embody the wild tranquility of this protected Norwegian landscape.

Søre Kaperskardet is a mountain pass with an elevation of 339 meters. Situated near the hamlet of Finnes, it offers hikers and visitors access to rugged, scenic landscapes characteristic of the Senja region. The pass is known for its natural beauty and panoramic views, making it a notable spot for outdoor activities such as hiking and nature exploration.

A steep climb up to the middle, even by Norwegian standards. After that, it's through a lot of scree. Still worth it if the visibility is good.
