The Saint-Nithier church in Clairvaux-les-Lacs is a Romanesque style church with a double-decker dome bell tower dedicated to Saint Nithier. Lac de Clairvaux-les-Lacs is a beautiful lake nestled in the Jura mountains. It is very pretty, with crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and surrounding forests.

The lakes of Clairvaux - the large and the small lake - are located in the heart of the country of lakes and waterfalls of the Jura. If they serve as a base for many vacationers and hikers, they are also important ecosystems for birds, amphibians especially in the wetlands that connect the two lakes. The surrounding paths offer very beautiful views of these two stretches of turquoise water.
