Sgorr Ruadh is the finer of these two Munros north of Achnashellach station. Better still is the round if you include the Corbett Fuar Tholl to the south on your return rather than dropping back into Coire Lair at the bealach.

A picturesque little bothy with plenty of space. Just of the path and not a long walk from the road, a good landmark and stopping point on the Cape Wrath trail or when ascending the nearby Munro. There is an upstairs and a small fireplace downstairs.

A beautiful glen with some great views. The path is good here and easy to follow.

This one is really one you want to save for good weather. That's not just for the views. The way up and down is scree and boulder fields for the last 1.5k. There is lots of quartzite which can be quite slippery in wet conditions. You need to be surefooted to manoeuvre the two steep sections. Besides all of that this is a lovely munro to climb and the views are well worth it.

Well, the views are really stunning from this one, along the whole ridge actually! Certainly not a top you want to approach when the views aren't quite it.

Nice one indeed and good to do in combination with Beinn Liath Mhor. The views are slightly better from Beinn Liath Mhor however. The walk down towards Achnashellach takes you through a lovely little Baleach with lots of little lakes. Very scenic.

Nice little hut in a beautiful location with a waterfall and gorgeous views of the mountains.

Great little bothy on the Fionnaraich Estate, built in the 1800's as a stalker's cottage. It's closed from 20th September to the 20th October for stag stalking. There is a multifuel stove here, but you'll need to bring your own supplies as there's nothing nearby. I approached Beinn Liath Mhor (926m) along its fine east ridge. The cloud was coming and going intermittently and it all looked very dramatic. Unfortunately I was fully in the clag on the summit (but I'm led to believe the views across to the Torridon hills from here are wonderful).
