Stunning Duck Pond in the equally beautiful (and very sleepy) village of Alderton. The ducks have nesting boxes & are free to come & go as they please. You can't go "in." As such, there's a fence around the pond & nest boxes, but it was lush to watch the array of ducks for a while!!

Nice Cafe in the heart of Sherston a pretty Cotswold village. Great food abs drinks. The sausages were delicious and lovely smooth coffee along with welcoming staff. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Great coffee stop for cyclists

The remains of one of the old railway bridges from the Tetbury branch line. This route used to connect Tetbury to the main line at Kemble. The railway was opened in 1889 but it's use declined after 1930 when the use of road become more prevalent. Diesel rail busses where used in the late 1950's but the line was eventually closed in 1964.

A nice lane between Crudwell and Oaksey.

The pub offers quality pub food classics and snacks as well as drinks and snacks. Food served Mon to Fri 12:00 - 14:00 and 18:00 - 20:30. Sat 12:00 - 14:30 and 17:00 - 20:30 and Sun 12:00 - 19:30.

Westonbirt is managed by Forestry England. Home to over 2500 different species of tree it's a wonderful place to visit. Paid entry and open from 9:00 - 17:00 every day. Café on site.

Oaksey is a pretty Cotswold village in Wiltshire, very close to the Gloucestershire boarder. It is thought that there has been a settlement here since 4500 BCE but the earliest evidence are the Bronze age Round Barrows. The 15th centaury church is the oldest surviving building now.

I believe this lane was once part of the main Bristol to Oxford road. The Saxon M4 🙂
