Bikepacking trip with a night bivouac on the shores of Lac des Rousses, beach side. Very windy at night, so wrap up warm. Otherwise, a magnificent lake with few people (early August).

A very nice border village to relax in after a bike ride (from Geneva in our case). We spent the afternoon and a night camping near the lake. Shops nearby for supplies 👍

A departure from Lac des Rousses towards Le Pont and back. A not-too-difficult outing of 62 km and 450 m of elevation gain.

Excellent first day with lots of climbing - Col de la Combe Blanche, Col de l'Aiguillon and a third smaller col between them. The views are wonderful and no cars on most sections with a few road parts that were not very busy.

Nestled in the Haut Jura Natural Park, at an altitude of 1,150m, discover in the heart of a remarkably designed military fort, the maturing cellars of Comtés Juraflore and the history of the greatest cheeses of Franche-Comté.

It is a typical Jura village. It benefits from a lot of sporting and cultural activities. It is the starting point for many hikes. It is located on the route of the Grande Traversée du Jura or GTJ (https://www.gtj.asso.fr/). To be discovered in all seasons, whether on foot, by bike, by mountain bike, by snowshoes or by ski.

The Col de Landoz-Neuve is a small border pass which connects the Vallée de Joux CH with the Val de Mouthe F.
