The route from St Ives to Pendeen on the SWC Path was one of the most beautiful I have done - in Pendeen there is a pub with great bungalows with sea views - the North Inn.

Inspiring views and awesome trails. Big gravel or MTB descents and climbs around the coastal path.

The Levant Mine is a disused mine in the St Just mining district with an attached museum where a working balancing steam engine can be viewed. The mine is located near Trewellard, north of St Just in Cornwall, England, directly on the coast, about 10 kilometers northeast of Land's End. Beautifully restored, but unfortunately not open to visitors.

Coming from the South West Coast Path, you enter the museum grounds from below.

Look south west and I'll be rewarded with fantastic views of Cape Cornwall across the bay of Porth Leddon. Cape Cornwall is one of only two capes in the UK. You can walk all the way up to the chimney stacks.

A church has stood on this site since at least the 6th century, and is thought to have been founded by St. Senara. Senara has been modified over the centuries to become Zennor. The present building dates from the 13th and 15th centuries. Look out for the mermaid chair, thought to have been carved 400–600 years ago, in memory of a parish choir boy who fell in love and eloped with a mermaid.

Levant Mine and Beam Engine was active between 1820 and 1930. In the 1980s, the beam engine was restored and is still operated by steam in its original location - well worth a visit. Copper and tin were mined here. The mine reached a depth of 600m and there were tunnels which dug out under the sea, for approximately 2.5km from the cliff. The mine is now owned by the National Trust and is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site.
