Great trail into Perranporth with a brewery tap bar on the way. Superb.

A beautiful section of the SWC Path between Perranporth and St. Agnes. The walk to St. Agnes is about 8km long, with no major climbs but fantastic views.

Towanroath Shaft pumping engine house was built in 1872, housing a steam engine that pumped water from a shaft that went 185 metres deep - well below sea level. After Wheal Coates was abandoned in 1914, the engine house perched dramatically on the cliff was restored by the National Trust in 1973.

The coastal path at Ligger Point offers dramatic views of crashing waves against towering cliffs. The entire route between Holywell and Perranporth is truly spectacular.

Site of Alfred Nobel's Munitions Factory. Active during WWI & WWII, mostly filling grenades and other explosives. I would recommend looking up the talking history clip on BBC Sounds. Also the site of Tungsten mining during the same time.

Lovely gardens to stop for lunch

This stretch of coastline is close to the village of Mithian, said to be one of the oldest in the county. Many of the houses are 300-400 years old.
