1월 5, 2026, The Gurnard's Head Hotel
Large car park and they were happy for us to use it for the walk. Incredibly popular. Consider booking a table, should you want to eat.

The remains of the mine building are right by the road. There is a car park that is a good starting point for hikes. The bus (Lands End Coaster) also passes by regularly.

9월 20, 2023, Carn Galver Mine
Situated right next to the road, Carn Calver Mine is an ideal accessible place to get up close to Cornwall's industrial past. The mine was operational for only 20 years, with only 150 tons of tin produced. The two ruins closest to the road are engine houses. The wall of the chimneyed building was destroyed to fill in the mine when it closed. The Count House, off to the north from the car park, is now used by Bosigran Climbing Club to store their equipment.

5월 16, 2023, Zennor Head
Zennor Head, high up on the granite cliffs, is a promontory between Pendour and Porthzennor coves. The height of the headland allows you to enjoy spectacular views over the sea to the east and west, as well as inland.

This is a mysterious Iron Age site. The castle remains are a long wall built above steep cliffs. There is no evidence of the site being occupied and there are no defense ditches. Its purpose is unknown. If you edge closer to the sea, there is a logan stone, a granite rock which sways when pushed upwards or if you are brave enough, if you stand on it.

11월 15, 2022, Treen Cove Ruins
Sometimes known as Gunard's Head Beach, Treen Cove is accessed by a rocky scramble, worth it if you sure footed. Its quiet golden sands are uncovered at low tide and its a wonderful place for a swim in Cornwall's famed turquoise waters. Dogs are allowed on the beach here at all times so it makes for a great mid-hike stop if you're with a four legged friend.

11월 15, 2022, Porthmeor Cove
A place of peace and tranquility, Porthmeor Cove is particularly lovely at low tide when the sandy beach is exposed. But as a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), even at high tide, its boulders and rock pools are fascinating to explore. You will rarely meet many other people here as it is off the beaten track and only accessible by footpath.

12월 23, 2020, Mên-an-Tol
The age of this megalithic formation is estimated to be between 3000 and 4000 years. There are a number of legends surrounding this cultural site. For one, women can become pregnant if they crawl through the "Devil's Eye" - the hole stone - seven times during the full moon. On the other hand, children are protected from diseases when they are passed through the hole. Well, whatever belief you may follow, the site is a fascinating place. This site can be visited at any time of the day or night - but one should not be disappointed with the "size" of the site. The megaliths look huge in photos, but in reality they are only between 1 m and 1.5 m high.

6월 26, 2019, Gurnard's Head
Gurnard’s Head is a rocky and windswept headland. The name reflects the fact that the peninsula resembles the head of the gurnard fish. You can see the remains of an ancient settlement and cliff castle here.

Looking out over Pendour Cove, you experience a wonderful view towards the distinctive headland of Gurnard's head. This cove is also known as Mermaid’s Cove and legend has it that if you sit above the at sunset on a fine summer evening you might hear the singing of Matthew Trewella, a man from nearby Zennor, who fell in love with a mermaid and followed her out to sea.
