This was a planned stop for our team of six cyclists that was cycling the LEJOG. It was a cracking stop with room in the car park for our support van and bikes. Super tasty food, friendly service and outside seating. A great stop!

A very lovely view can be had from here of St Michael's Mount. Accessible during mid to low tide, it is a beautiful place to visit via its granite causeway. Go and see this iconic rocky island crowned by a medieval church and castle. One of the 43 unbridged islands in the UK that is accessible by foot.

Small on the outside, but a very large pub on the inside, perfect for a break. As always, with Cornish cream tea.

Great coast to coast route across mid Cornwall mainly off road trails and occasional quiet roads. Coffee stops, pub stops, great scenery, mining history and coastal views. There is nothing to dislike about this route.

This fantastic stretch of well-paved road runs close to the shores of the Cornwall National Landscape, offering stunning views out to the Atlantic Ocean.

This wide open road provides exceptional views of the stunning Cornish coastline. The road travels along the entire Cornwall National Landscape and is highly regarded by cyclists as an excellent place to ride.

Swanpool is an important inland brackish nature reserve. There is a wide variety of wildlife here, including the Trembling Sea Mat, which is found nowhere else in the UK. It's a good place for a quick break on a ride, the road goes along the eastern edge of the lake.

Tredrea Lane is a quiet, undulating and beautiful road between St Erth and Gwallon in southern Cornwall. It's a lovely place to ride, and hopefully the caravans will stick to the A30 which runs roughly parallel. This is part of the National Cycle Network long distance route 3 which connects Bristol and Land's End.

Stopped at the coffee/ice cream place North Cliff Diary 1/2 mile from the top of Potreath hill. Fabulous little place. They have a field of pick your own Sunflowers. Great value ice cream mmm

The favourable position of the natural harbour between Falmouth Bay and the long stretched out bay of Carrick Roads as an anchorage made the small town of Falmouth the most important port in the British Isles alongside London during the sailing ship era.

Swanpool beach is a sandy cove on the outskirts of Falmouth. Behind the beach is Swanpool Nature Reserve (SSSI), a mix of fresh and sea water that is home to over 100 species of bird. There is a cafe, crazy golf and watersports hire available at the beach.

Pendennis point provides beautiful views of the coast and is only a very short distance from busy Falmouth. The name comes the Cornish Pen (Headland) and Dynas (Castle). Dolphins and Basking Sharks have been spotted here along with more frequent visits from seals. Pendennis Castle began life in the 16th Century as a gun fort and has guarded the entrance to Carrick Roads (Falmouth Estuary) since. It is looked after by English Heritage and open to visitors.
