Drop down the hill a short way from the church, to the National Trust entrance - tea rooms, loo, lovely walk and they even have bike locks to lend.

Picturesque and well worth including on a tour.

A fantastic view point which can be admired from the bike or you can take a short detour onto a trail to visit more closely.

Proper stop on loops out to Brent Tor or Lydford. The nobbly top of this tor is visible across south Dartmoor, and the church on top is open from Easter Sunday for services.

Excellent pizza and undercover, outdoor seating at the Castle Inn! No issues taking our bikes into the garden.

Nice little town with an old clapper bridge as the footpath. Lovely little river too.

The beautiful area that is Tavistock, if you arrived on foot or two wheels there are several lovely cafes to set you up to continue you discovery of Devon

This gorgeous 18th-century bridge is one of several in the heart of Tavistock but is perhaps the prettiest. The River Tavy rushes underneath to pass down the weir, creating a series of little waterfalls in lush surroundings. The bridge features both on the Dartmoor Way cycle route and National Cycle Network Route 27.

Two Bridges is an isolated location in the heart of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England. It is situated around 2.5 km (1.6 mi) north east of Princetown on the old turnpike road which was built across Dartmoor in the late 18th century.

Postbridge is a great place to start or finish a run. There are loads of interesting routes to explore from here and you can pick up maps from the Dartmoor National Park Visitors Centre in the village. Postbridge Village Stores has a cafe and the usual items you'd expect to find in a local shop for pre or post run sustenance.

This is a great spot to stop and rest weary legs by the River Dart and even take a bite to eat from the nearby hotel. Here you can see fantastic views of Dartmoor National Park.

The Tamar River marks the boundary between Devon & Cornwall and this medieval bridge spanning the two counties was reportedly built by Benedictine Monks from local stone. Horsebridge is the middle of three ancient river crossings, Gunnislake and Greystone comprising the other two.

Postbridge is a hamlet in Dartmoor National Park famous for its clapper bridge, which spans the banks of the East Dart River. It's thought to date back to medieval times, yet still stands strong.
