Rode from Padstow to Wenford Bridge on Camel Trail to this Cafe well worth the effort

Lovely little cafe with compostable toilet! You can sit inside (which was lovely and warm) or outside - they did have a wasp problem but were actively trying to distract them from the customers!

great cafe to stop off. good coffee and cake. place to fill water bottles and chill inside or out. plenty of free parking

Great far reaching views from the top of Caradon hill. You're going to want to stop for 5 mins at this point anyway!

There is a nice 'cook out' style cafe called 'Inky's' at Golitha Falls at about 3-4 miles from the end of the route. This route is very muddy and floods easily in winter but still easily navigable.

The name of the village is believed to come from the Cornish words "Porth" (harbour) and "gwynn" (white). Its earliest mention is when Laurence de Porquin took his name from the village in 1327. During the medieval period, boats from Port Quin often sailed to Wales trading coal, manure, antimony, lead and building ashlar. Snail’s Pace is more or less thee destination in Wenford Bridge. In addition to advice already given. I’d just say get there early so you can have some time to to yourself before it gets busier later on. I cycled from Wadebridge at 09:00 and arrived around 10:00, about half an hour after they opened and it was just me there enjoying an exceptional bacon barm on toasted rosemary focaccia. Definitely ride there first for the reward of excellent food and friendly staff

Delford Bridge is a pretty clapper bridge dating back to medieval times. It is a wonderful place for dogs and hikers to take a paddle. Cattle and sheep roam freely here so you might meet them at the water's edge too.

Jubilee Rock is so named as the granite boulder was decorated with a carving in 1810 to celebrate the fiftieth jubilee of George III. Since then, two more carvings have followed in 1887 and 2002 to commemorate the golden jubilees of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. You will notice that there are actually many more carvings created by the landowner John Rogers, including the Cornish Arms, Britannia and a number of Freemason symbols.

A cosy, dog friendly pub, perfect for refueling after a hike into Bodmin Moor. It is thought to date from the 15th century and the roaring fire in winter has no doubt been welcoming sight to all those who have passed through its door since.

Snail's Pace Cafe is a great place for breakfast, lunch and snacks. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You can also hire bikes from here. It's open from Mid March to the end of October but keep an eye on social media for winter 'pop-up' events.

The Hurlers are three stone circles on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Legend has it that these were Cornish Hurler players, caught out on a Sunday and punished. They are thought to date to between 2,100 & 1,500 BCE.

Boscastle is a beautiful village and 100 years ago was the only harbour along a 40 mile stretch of the Cornish coast. It was an incredible busy port as until the late 19th Century, there was no railway into Cornwall so Boscastle was the main commercial and transport hub in the area. The shape of the valley which runs down to the sea gives Boscastle its unique and stunning charm and is very popular with visitors. Aside from the usual pubs and cafes, there is a also a Museum of Witchcraft and Magic which provides a history of British magical practice.

Great cafe and free parking

Great place to have lunch or an afternoon tea with both inside and outdoor seating. The cafe is open from 9:30am to 4pm and they also offer bike hire.
