Rode from Padstow to Wenford Bridge on Camel Trail to this Cafe well worth the effort

Stayed 1 night, lovely room, gorgeous dinner and a great base for a walk to Brown Willy!

Lovely little cafe with compostable toilet! You can sit inside (which was lovely and warm) or outside - they did have a wasp problem but were actively trying to distract them from the customers!

great cafe to stop off. good coffee and cake. place to fill water bottles and chill inside or out. plenty of free parking

Beautiful little beach. You can ride your bike right onto the beach.

Great far reaching views from the top of Caradon hill. You're going to want to stop for 5 mins at this point anyway!

There is a nice 'cook out' style cafe called 'Inky's' at Golitha Falls at about 3-4 miles from the end of the route. This route is very muddy and floods easily in winter but still easily navigable.

The manor of Crackington was recorded in the Domesday Book (1086) when it was one of several manors held by Berner from Robert, Count of Mortain. There was half a hide of land and land for 3 ploughs. There were 1 plough, 2 serfs, 6 smallholders, 4 acres of underwood, 20 acres of pasture, 4 cattle, 3 pigs and 25 sheep. I’d just say get there early so you can have some time to to yourself before it gets busier later on. I cycled from Wadebridge at 09:00 and arrived around 10:00, about half an hour after they opened and it was just me there enjoying an exceptional bacon barm on toasted rosemary focaccia. Definitely ride there first for the reward of excellent food and friendly staff

Snail's Pace Cafe is a great place for breakfast, lunch and snacks. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You can also hire bikes from here. It's open from Mid March to the end of October but keep an eye on social media for winter 'pop-up' events.

Three routes into or out - all with steep sections. The coastal route takes you to high cliff at about 850 feet above sea level and up to 1 in 3 gradient. Enjoy.

Crackington beach is a small cove flanked by high cliffs which make for a lovely view from the road. Although only small, here you will find a cafe, hotel and public toilets plus sections of both shingle and sandy beaches.

If you are looking for somewhere that conjures up the smuggling history of Cornwall, then this is it. The setting for Daphne du Maurier's novel, Jamaica Inn is an 18th century coaching inn which provided travellers respite from crossing the wilds of Bodmin Moor. As it was in the middle of nowhere, it was also the perfect location to hide goods being smuggled into the country from the Cornish coast. At Jamaica Inn you will still find a place to rest a while, enjoy some food and drink or even stay the night. Plus a collection of smuggling artefacts to really give you an insight into its history.

Warbstow Bury is an Iron Age Hill Fort. which is the best preserved in the county. Two sentry boxes were positioned here in the Second World War where the Home Guard would keep watch for enemy aircraft. It is easily accessible from the road, although this would involve walking across a grassy area.

Boscastle is a beautiful village and 100 years ago was the only harbour along a 40 mile stretch of the Cornish coast. It was an incredible busy port as until the late 19th Century, there was no railway into Cornwall so Boscastle was the main commercial and transport hub in the area. The shape of the valley which runs down to the sea gives Boscastle its unique and stunning charm and is very popular with visitors. Aside from the usual pubs and cafes, there is a also a Museum of Witchcraft and Magic which provides a history of British magical practice.

Great place to have lunch or an afternoon tea with both inside and outdoor seating. The cafe is open from 9:30am to 4pm and they also offer bike hire.
