The view across the river toward West Looe is one of the town’s highlights, offering a charming panorama of colourful houses along the hillside and boats lining the harbour.

Hore Stone point is on the wonderful section of the SWCP between Looe and Polperro. Great walking and amazing views over Portnadler Bay towards Looe Island.

West Looe, on the west side of the River Looe, is the quieter of the two sides of the town. Dog walking is popular here as pooches are allowed on the local beach, Hannafore, all year round.

Looe Island is a marine nature reserve and the water surrounding it is teeming with wildlife. It is said that Jesus visited the island with his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea. It's nickname St George arose after it was said to have been mistaken for an allied ship during WW2 and bombed. Henceforth being known as HMS St George.

The Island View Cafe close to Hannafore Point and right beside the tennis court is a lovely place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat. Great menu, reasonable prices and a relatively short walk from East Looe Beach.

The small town of Looe is situated on both sides of the River Looe. In medieval times, East Looe and West Looe were two separate towns. East Looe includes the harbour and the main shopping centre. West Looe is quieter but also has attractions. The two towns are joined by a seven-arched bridge, built in 1853 to replace a much earlier bridge from the 15th century.

Small coastal town in southeastern Cornwall. About 5,000 inhabitants. The fishing port is also a center of Haiangelns - off the coast there are blue sharks.
