The Village Green at Bledington is a lovely place to stop and rest. If picnic benches, wildflowers, ducks, bantams and a brook running through it aren't enough there is always the 16th century public house, The Kings Head.

Built between 1607 and 1612, Chastleton House tells an enchanting story. Originally owned by rich wool merchant Walter Jones, the house became the scene of a drug dupe during the Civil War in a bid to save the owners life. Today, the property is owned by National Trust. Visitors can learn about the fascinating history for themselves from 1pm - 5pm Wednesday to Sunday.

You'll walk passed it on the route we took. Grown ups may not be hugely interested.

Daylesford Farm is a beautiful, award-winning farm shop situated in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside. The shop stocks wonderful fruits and vegetables harvested daily as well as beverages, homeware, hampers, and gifts. There is also a café on site offering a seasonal menu of plates and salads.

This is a beautiful 13th-century church situated in the typical Cotswolds village of Adlestrop. The church has a notable topiary cross near the entrance gateway and conducts a wonderful ringing of bells if you happen to be in the area at the right time.

Adlestrop House is a beautiful example of a Cotswolds manor house. The house and parkland were the inspiration behind Jane Austen's novel, Mansfield Park.

Enjoy the best of the British countryside on this pretty footpath through open fields and woodland that connects Chastleton with Adlestrop.

Great start & finish point. Lots of places to have a coffee, a cup of tea or something stronger and plenty of choice if you want something to eat too. Not an expert but the shopping looks interesting as well. Worth a visit.

The Porch House is the oldest inn in England (over 100 years). There are two parts to this pub; a formal restaurant and a cosy pub with low ceilings and a roaring fire in the winter. We have previously enjoyed lunch here. The portions are fantastic, they offer GF options and the food was delicious.

A cool house. It's not your usual polished national trust house it's good for exploring

Stow on the Wold is the highest Cotswold town. It was of historical importance located on the Roman Fosse Way at a point where several roads meet. The battle of Donnington fought nearby was the last battle in the English Civil war in 1646. The local church was used to lock up Royalist soldiers as it was the only lockable building locally.

With a large village green and gold-hued Cotswold brick houses, Bledington is an attractive little settlement. The Grade I-listed St Leonard's church is a magnificent building. Its glorious 15th-century clerestory illuminates in the interior and looks majestic from the outside. The Kings Head Inn offers fantastic food and a bed for the night.

A Grade II Listed Building in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. Probably early-mid C19 remodelling of possibly late mediaeval origin. About 10 x 18 ft with pool about 6 x 12 ft. Rectangular verge with paved edge, rectangular wall against bank with cast iron spout. Steps to left. There were 3 reliable water sources for Stow and this, the most reliable, was less used than the wells (the White and Red Pumps) on the Broadwell side which were closer to the town centre.
