Just absolutely stunning, ancient woodland in the heart of Bradley Stoke!! I could spend hours & hours in here, especially now, in autumn

Such a lush spot, especially in Autumn 🍂🖤🍂 (I'm biased, I think it's the best time of year!) It is worth a walk, and you can easily walk there down the direct path, or there are ways up & down from "The Tump"

Stick to the perimeter path of the Downs

The university of Bristol Botanical Garden tells the story of plants. Founded in 1882 and at the present location since 2002. The Holmes is the current site, the building was built in 1879 in the Arts and Crafts style. The garden is open every day from 10:00 - 16:30 but closed during the winter. It costs £9 per adult unless you are a member or Bristol uni staff/student. There is a cafe on site.

A conspicuous landmark visible from many places in and around Bristol, the Purdown BT Tower is a 230-foot (70 m) telecommunications tower built high on Purdown, a hill above the city. A run along Purdown rewards with extensive views across Bristol. Nearby are the remains of an anti aircraft battery from the Second World War. The area is now home to a herd of goats who have been encouraged to graze the land here.

Sea Walls is one of the finest viewpoints for taking in the full majesty of the Avon Gorge. Perched above some of the gorge's mightiest crags, it’s common to be able to spot rock climbers ascending the impressive limestone faces. The distant Clifton Suspension Bridge spans the river, with the quarry-scarred, wooded slopes of Leigh Woods on the opposite bank.

Gets very boggy by the lake in winter, otherwise it's a great track. The boggy bit might be avoidable with a small detour.
