At the foot of the significant Peña Mediodía peak, and next to the ecological recreational area of the same name, the Hermitage of San Isidro is located on the slopes of El Boalo, very close to the town center. It is situated in a unique and enviable setting, surrounded by magnificent landscapes.

The Hermitage of San Isidro is located on the slopes of El Boalo, very close to the town centre. It was built with local masonry by the local residents, reflecting the devotion of the inhabitants of El Boalo to San Isidro, patron saint of cattle breeders and farmers. Every 15th of May, a pilgrimage is held in honour of San Isidro, where locals and visitors take part in a day in the countryside full of hospitality and festivities. The hermitage is located at the foot of Peña Mediodía and next to the ecological recreational area of the same name.

La Colada de Matalpino is a road that connects the towns of Manzanares, El Boalo, and Matalpino. If you walk this path you will enjoy spectacular views of that part of the Los Porrones mountain range and the Peña del Mediodía.

The spectacular granite complex of La Pedriza is one of the most unique places in the Guadarrama mountain range. From here you can see the stone masses and even the particular formation of El Yelmo, a huge monolith that crowns this mountain range.
