10월 8, 2025, Ermita de Santa Magdalena
Simply wonderful, arriving at the top on a road bike, the view stretching into the distance, and the feeling of accomplishment. Now savor the moment… A cappuccino with cheesecake ☕️🍰 is the perfect accompaniment in the small café with a terrace, which only opens around midday. Then, refreshed and full of energy, off you go across the island 🏝️ ☀️🚴🏼♂️🚴💨

Coming from Sóller you have a great view of the reservoir, which nowadays only has very little water. However, it is incredibly crowded, especially during holidays or weekends.

Beautiful view on the mountains of Tossals Verds and the Puig Major (highest mountain Mallorca). It is not allowed to swim in the lake. The GR221 passes near the lake + there is a refugio where you can spend the night!

Idyllic, beautifully situated mountain lake (or reservoir) in the middle of the mountains of Mallorca. There are always great views of the lake, framed by beautiful mountain views. Mallorca's long-distance hiking trail GR 221 runs along here. The lake can also be walked around on a circular route.

12월 19, 2023, Puig de Massanella (1,364 m)
Tip about the tips: Kai described the route coming from the west. This can definitely only be managed with “all fours”. This highlight is also located there https://www.komoot.de/highlight/3057679 Andi Mueller definitely described the route coming from the east. Via Pla de sa Neu https://www.komoot.de/highlight/367144 it is much easier and you have clean hands when you get up here. ;) Otherwise the view up here is magnificent. The effort is worth it when there are no clouds.

Gigantic views far beyond the island borders. A climb is worth it.

One of the "classics". Great! A must for every Mallorca hiking lover - magnificent nature, magnificent views! The starting point of our hike was the Cuber reservoir. After 90 minutes of relaxed hiking you reach Coll L'Ofre. Then it's steeper but shorter to the summit (cairns and blue splashes of color throughout). You can then descend via the easier path towards Puig de na Franquesa.

Puig Major is the highest peak in Mallorca. It stands out from the rest of the mountains in the Sierra de Tramuntana because it is the only one that has antennas and a radar at the top. This mountain is military property, so it can only be accessed with a special permit. In any case, it can be perfectly appreciated from the Cúber reservoir and the surrounding peaks. The views are gorgeous!

You should bring sure-footedness if you want to go up here. The path is sometimes good and sometimes bad. No signs, but the cairns show the way. Took a wrong turn once, otherwise it was obvious. At the top I would rate the stone slabs as a danger in wet weather - quite doable in dry weather. The view is fantastic and makes up for everything!

Anyone who visits the Cúber reservoir feels transported to the Alps. The higher of two reservoirs that supply Palma de Mallorca with drinking water is surrounded by peaks in a quiet, untouched nature. The circular route around the lake and over the dam is well developed and can be walked without any difficulties. Here you can discover plants and animals and enjoy beautiful views of the mountains of Mallorca.

Temple of Gothic origin, located in the Spanish city of Inca on the island of Majorca, stands on the Puig de Santa Magdalena (Pico de Santa Magdalena) at 287 meters above sea level.

Definitely not a 2+ on this route. If you have a head for heights and are sure-footed, don't be put off if you enjoy light scrambling (I think I had to use my hands twice, otherwise it was walking terrain). It almost didn't work out because of the 2+ comment.

From here you not only have a fantastic view of the highest peak in Mallorca - in perfect weather you also have a fantastic view of a large part of the Serra de Tramuntana on the tour. (An additional tip: In addition to sensible food, please wear proper shoes!!! )

Massanella is one of the island's most popular hiking destinations. Even on the normal route via Finca Coma Freda, you should be reasonably fit. A little sense of direction or a good battery/power bank can't hurt for the final climb. Sturdy footwear is also beneficial. Those who are nervous or prone to vertigo might feel a little queasy near the summit, as a deep ravine gapes right near the summit. You don't necessarily have to climb all the way up to get a beautiful view, but it's worth it. Not recommended for inexperienced hikers in rain, snow, or fog. Locals tell the following story: The devil once wanted to conquer Mallorca's highest peak. One dark night, he climbed Massanella to establish his throne there. When the sun rose in the morning, it blinded him so brightly that he fell and cursed, falling from the mountain. His impact is said to have created the rugged karst landscape of the Pla de sa Neu. Since then, the saying has been: "Stay away from Massanella at dusk." Apparently, the devil didn't know that Puig de Major was higher 😁.

When the weather is clear, there is an excellent view of Mallorca's highest mountain at 1436m (must not be entered as it is a restricted military area)
