Cacabelos is a town in the heart of the Bierzo region. Located on the banks of the Cúa river in a spectacular landscape surrounded by the mountains of León, Ancares, La Cabrera.

Cycling along the N-536 national road, you can glimpse the defensive wall of the medieval castle of Cornatel and its towers on top of the hills.

Nice place to rest and take a bath (in summer) haha. The surrounding trails are also worth taking. It is a very cool place.

It is the heritage of the Bierzo and in it we find more than 6000 specimens of 48 species of trees native to the Bierzo all described in information panels. It can be accessed in several ways but I prefer by bike, although from the road that goes from Arganza to Cacabelos it can be accessed on foot.

It is a spectacular place with impressive views, perfect to make a stop on your route and even have a drink and who knows if your route ends in why not eat and drink some wines from its impressive cellar.
