Good paved road, moderate traffic. Views of the reservoir, the Aitana and Serrella mountain ranges, and villages like Beniardà and Benimantell.

The trailhead is little used, but still faintly visible. The bushes along the trail scratch your calves ;-). S1(S2) is fun with a great panorama. Unfortunately, it's too short 😉

Great cafe in the large square with proper ‘no fuss’ tapas. Lady behind the bar was very helpful, food was tasty & extremely reasonable. Recommended!

Brilliant view from up there. The journey is doable and it's worth the effort. Water can be taken free of charge for flats.

The view from the dam of the Embassament de Guadalest is truly impressive! From there you can see the turquoise water of the reservoir, framed by the surrounding mountains. The landscape is characterized by the steep rock faces and lush vegetation of the Sierra de Aitana. The picturesque village of Guadalest with its castle sits at the top - a perfect place for a photo!

Water is available at the font and the refuge is not closed. You can eat there or even sleep. The return path I took is quite rough. The path disappears ad can be found again using the map. Make sure you downloaded it as there is no network on that part.
