Right next to the bridge is a very nice rest area right on the banks of the Oste. There is also a dock for canoeists, so you can get up close and personal with the beautiful river. The view from the bridge itself is also very worthwhile, as the Oste is very wide here.

The unpaved path that Komoot shows along the Oste River through the middle of the field should not be used. The owner of the pasture does not want anyone trampling on his field.

The Ostebrücke near Oberochenhausen is a farm road to Sandbostel Lager, across the fields and meadows towards Rockstedt and into the Huvenhoopsmoor. The view of the course of the Oste is, as with most bridges of the Oste, heavily blocked by trees and bushes.
