The path through the Schaabe pine forest is very idyllic; the forest floor softens our footsteps, and depending on the season, the pine needles smell wonderful. To the left, we hear the Baltic Sea lapping, and to the right lies the Bodden, which, however, we can barely see through the trees on this stretch of the path.

A worthwhile area on the northernmost shore of Rügen near Nonnevitz. It's particularly recommended during the leafless (winter) months, as this is when the tree trunks are at their best. This is also the quietest time of year, and the romantic atmosphere can be experienced without the holidaymakers from the nearby Rainbow Camp. A forest full of bizarrely shaped trees, moss-covered paths, and beautiful views of the sea and the white, fine-grained Baltic Sea beach. The paths are easy to walk, but are unpaved forest trails and dirt tracks. Various beach accesses (some with steps, some without) allow for ascent and descent.

A network of easy-to-access hiking trails around and through a forest of sometimes bizarrely shaped trees, often beech, shaped by the Baltic Sea wind. On the high shore above the sea, you can hear the sound of the waves and enjoy wonderful views of the Baltic Sea. Various beach accesses (some with, some without steps) lead you to the white, fine-grained Baltic Sea beach. Very few people are around, at least on a Saturday in mid-March with moderate temperatures.

The Bodden is always worth a hike. There are beautiful places with panoramic views to linger.
