Torrejoncillo is a small and charming typical Extremadura town with a nice square, small narrow streets and beautiful festivals.

Mirabel Castle was built in the 15th century on Cerro del Acero, which is why it is also known as the Peña del Acero castle. It is currently very deteriorated and only a few vestiges can be seen, such as a large brick vault and some walls.

Torrejoncillo is a small town in the Valle de Alagón region. The typical narrow streets lead to the Plaza Mayor in the center of town, where the Town Hall and the Church of San Andrés Apóstol are the most outstanding monuments. The city is famous for its handicrafts and festivals.

This is a lovely section of trail with trees for shady lounging, near a small stream and beautiful fields. There are even some nice views nearby.

This is a good place for a break. There is a fountain and a small shelter with a picnic table.

A good climb up to a view and up to the Cerro de los Castillejos.
