Good for a coffee or a beer after a strenuous hike. Otherwise, the town, like most larger settlements in the area, doesn't have much to offer other than a quiet beach promenade (apart from its interesting history). The number of presumably vacant residential buildings, even newer ones, is astonishing. After all, Corme has reduced its population by 50% in the last 100 years (it now stands at just over 1,000).

The Serpent Stone is of unknown date, but certainly older than the cross on the top, which represents a (repeated) attempt to Catholicize the pagan symbol. Apparently, a feathered serpent is originally depicted.

The cemetery may be of interest to English people for historical reasons. We liked the great surroundings. There is an official access road and a parking lot and after a 10-minute walk there is a super secluded, large beach.

The Pedra da Serpe is a symbol of Christianization. The snakes (Celts) were a plague and were driven out of Galicia by the Christians.

There are 3 crosses here that commemorate those who drowned in ship accidents.
