In addition to the exotic plant park directly at the Liliental farm, the arboretum features various small themed groves and experimental areas. I only visited a portion of these on my hike; one could certainly spend quite a bit of time here on the paths with their information panels.

A very beautiful path through the forest up the Totenkopf to the Neulindenturm. The steep and somewhat rocky climb is much more enjoyable than the wide path from the south, which I then continued on.

A surprisingly large number of California redwoods, certainly unusual for Germany, even if they seem a bit too far apart for a forest. Unfortunately, they stopped growing several years ago, and many crowns are already quite withered – as an information panel explains, they apparently lacked water once they reached a certain size.
