If your stomach is rumbling while you're out and about, this is the place to go. The beer is decently cold, the food is delicious, and the people are very friendly. Thumbs up!

The R1 cycle path is a beautiful one. It's very easy to cycle and offers many photographic highlights. I enjoy using this cycle path again and again.

The "Siebenbrüderweg", which crosses the areas between Borkwalde and Fichtenwalde, is becoming increasingly popular with hikers, joggers and cyclists. On an approx. 800 meter long section along the path, the pine population was thinned out and an "ecological forest edge design" was carried out with the support of the Forest Enterprise Foundation. A lot is being done here for ecological forest conversion, the promotion of biodiversity in the forest and the design of the forest edges. Further information at https://www.tempelwald.de/

In 1989 the IL 18 landed on the 800 meter long grass runway at Borkheide airfield, where the Hans Grade Museum was set up. Very interesting and worth seeing
