Gustave Nadaud, famous poet, was born in Roubaix in 1820. A sculpture in his honor was installed in Barbieux Park in 1896.

Parc Barbieux (or Barbieux) is recognized as one of the most beautiful urban parks in France. Born from the abandonment in the second half of the 19th century of an underground canal project, Barbieux Park is a real English garden with an area of 34 hectares. This remarkable green setting offers extraordinary natural diversity. In addition to its 60 tree species and its bodies of water which are all invitations to wildlife, the park offers a magnificent walking route. A leisure and relaxation area, there is also a children's play area and a pétanque court. Affectionately known as “Le Beau Jardin” by Roubais residents, this listed site has received the Remarkable Garden label. Regular guided tours are available from the tourist office.

Departing from Le Nautic after a coffee, a beautiful 30km loop through the countryside. Very few cars. Return to the starting point to enjoy a good beer accompanied by fries. 🚴♂️🍻 🍟
