Very beautiful hiking spot

On relatively flat ground, the rock rises among the beech trees, like an ancient fortress with vertical walls. It is a formidable natural oppidum bristling with rampart rocks, overhanging patrol paths, watchtower peaks and a summit platform. Small secret passages open up, between the blocks and the vegetation, to climb to the sunny summit from where a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside can be seen.

20m long, this path, also called the Druids' Stone, is made of sandstone stones dating from the Neolithic period. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1906.

This farm dates back to the beginning of the 12th century. The name of this place says a lot about the solitude that reigned within this landscape of vast forests.

This church was rebuilt in the 19th century to replace an old chapel. It is a perfect example of neo-Gothic architecture. The church of Rocheville houses elements protected as historical monuments, including: - a statue of Saint Roch and his dog classified as historical objects; - statues of Saint Stephen from the 17th century, Saint John the Baptist from the 19th century; - the baptismal font with a partitioned basin, and their painted wooden cover imitating marble, from 1896; - a gadrooned holy water font from the 17th century.

The Bois des Roches is a site of chaotic sandstone but also many tales and legends of the Cotentin. Watch out for goblins and other white ladies around the woods!

hike accessible to all, part of the road with very little vehicle traffic. A large part of the hike is in the undergrowth, so pleasant if you are looking for a little freshness. At the last kilometer, at the rocks, you will find picnic tables.
