Built in 1957, this old dam only operated for 34 years, until 1991. Today, it is a beautiful place to walk, particularly by taking the 7.8 kilometer marked loop that leads there.

This place is perfect for reaching the heights of Cherbourg and admiring the coast. A great way to combine views and hilly trails for mountain biking.

The view from the bottom of Castel Vendon is simply breathtaking. Below this ancient fortress, the vastness of the English Channel stretches out before you, framed by steep cliffs and windswept meadows.

Do not try to enter by car or other motorized vehicle, access to the sea or to Castel Vendon is only possible via a small path of stones and gravel...the beauty of the cliff and the landscape deserves a few steps
