The Balhan clock tower in Château-Thierry in the Aisne region of France is the only remaining feature of an important medieval urban building.

The castle ruins are quite large. Only the advanced structures of the important 13th-century castle remain today. The keep itself was destroyed in the 15th century.

You will see millstone habitats, picturesque churches, wash houses and beautiful fountains all along the route. The trail is ideal for running. The best times to visit are from March to October, when the weather is mild and the views are magnificent.

The church is surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, so you can expect varied terrain and elevation changes. You can appreciate its Gothic architecture and stained glass windows before or after your run. You can also admire the view of the river and the countryside from the church grounds.
