예전에는 다리가 나무로 되어 있고 지붕이 있어서 그런 이름이 붙었습니다. 오래전에 지붕 없는 새로운 돌다리로 교체되었습니다. 이름은 그대로 남았습니다. 이 이름은 예전에 방어 시설을 구성했던 다리와 탑(4개 중 3개가 아직 서 있음)을 지칭합니다.

Beautiful houses located right on the water

Place du Château (in standard German and in Alsatian dialect Schlossplatz) is located in the Grande Île of Strasbourg. Built in 1215, it changed its name several times.

From this bridge you not only have a view of L`Ill but also of the restaurant "Au Pont Saint Martin" decorated with flowers from the outside as well as the red building of the "Groupe scolaire Saint Martin". A lively operation of the sightseeing boats can also be observed from the bridge.

Highest recognition for the old master builders

Built between 1176 and 1439, this Gothic-style cathedral stands out with its unique spire. This is what made it the tallest monument in the Christian world in the 15th century. Embedded in the middle of the surrounding buildings, its view overwhelms when seen at the bend of a street.
